Sonic Compensation Project

Much has been said about business leadership. We keep telling you but you won’t listen. I’ll try again, it is because you run health care as a for profit business. That’s a whole different subject. I already told you, that claim counts income taxes, sales taxes, and property taxes. When people talk about taxes, the topic is usually income taxes, and most people don’t specify either. You say ‘the rich pay 24% taxes’ and people understand. 2. Motivation: We all have different kinds of needs. Some of us want money so they work for the company which gives them higher pay. Some value achievement more than money, they would associate themselves with firms which offer greater chances of promotion, learning and development. A compensation plan that hits workers’ needs is more likely to motivate them to act in the desired way. The management style that you choose can establish whether it runs evenly across the board or spirals out of control. There are four major types of management styles including autocratic, paternalistic, democratic and Laissez- faire. Now, before we get into these much farther it is important to figure out who you are, find your personality, what kind of leader are you? Are you a ‘What I say goes” or a ‘Let it be’ or maybe a ‘what do you think?’ The type of management style you choose will be based largely on you as a person. Find a friend, spouse, or co-worker and ask them what kind of leader they think you are, or find a personality test. Your personality, the type of business you operate and the employees that help you operate it will usually determine which is best for you. “Drucker devotes considerable effort and space to defining the nature and role of management. This discussion also focuses on the nature and value of leadership in the organization. According to Drucker, leadership gives the organization meaning, defines and nurtures its central values, creates a sense of mission, and builds the systems and processes that lead to successful performance” (Wittmeyer, 2003). This report focuses on the analysis of internal and external environment of 2 companies. This report selects the big giant in retail business known as Tesco and Sainsbury.
